2015 Retrospective

2015 Retrospective

At the twilight of 2015, a few friends got together and went over our 2015 wins and losses, and also what we envisioned for 2016. Here are a few of the details:

2015 wins

  • Paid off 100% of my CC debt (was over 20K) without paying interest (0% interest CCs).
  • Achieved my emergency fund goal of 10K.
  • Continued my great relationship with Kate.
  • Moved out of Boulder and into Denver
  • Broke through a salary level I though unattainable.
  • Created new friends and kept old friends.
  • Doubled my payment towards my student loans.
  • Created and mostly stuck to a tight, strong budget each month.
  • Minimized a lot of my ‘stuff’.  Feel like most of what I have, I use.
  • Continued my KF training plus added 1 student.
  • Started working out on a stationary bike weekly.
  • Woodworking projects – Learned lathe, built a good portion of the jong, carved spoons, created cutting boards, created Lego trays.

2015 Losses

  • A lot of my time in 2015 was feeling uncentered.
  • Very un-creative time.  My creativity has bit a low point (other than woodworking).
  • Feeling of being stuck in monotony.
  • Allowed other people and their attitudes to “bring me down” constantly.  I also picked up other people’s “shit”, a bad thing to do.
  • Didn’t keep my energy and mindset postive and flowing and “on top”.
  • Not as focused on the things I want to do and what I want to become (Computer/Reddit/FB/Cell Phone Games, etc).
